About Paynor PR

Agency principal Meg Paynor has more than 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing communications, working with premier brands in the hospitality and lifestyle industries to create fully integrated, successful PR campaigns. She’s developed, supervised and implemented national, regional and local programs, leveraging her considerable knowledge from previous work with large and boutique agencies, as well as a unique blend of independent PR consulting and in-house experience. Through the years she has developed relationships offline and online media in the travel, hospitality, food, spa, fitness, business, and real estate industries.

Meg started her career working on high profile projects like the Milk Moustache Campaign, Harley Davidson, National Pork Producers Council and Dixie from the Chicago offices of BSMG Worldwide (now known as industry leader Weber Shandwick). She eventually relocated to San Francisco, where her services were engaged on a number of travel and lifestyle accounts, including Celebrity Cruises, Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, and San Francisco Marriott.

Meg later moved over to Murphy O’Brien, a leading agency in southern California that specializes in travel, leisure and lifestyle industries, where she oversaw public relations for five award-winning hospitality and real estate clients. During her time there, Meg developed and executed PR strategies for clients like the Peninsula Hotels, Pebble Beach Resorts, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ), La Quinta Resort and Club (Palm Springs, CA) and luxury real estate group The Timbers Company. She cultivated valuable relationships with local, regional, national and international media outlets.

After working with both large and medium-sized agencies, Meg went to work for The Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle as their public relations director. For several years, she led communications for Seattle’s Five Diamond property, managing their communications, digital marketing, and community outreach.

Meg stays actively involved with all Paynor PR clients, and she is hands-on through every step of a campaign’s development. Her creativity and professionalism are well-known and respected across the board by both clients and colleagues. She’s been recognized as a “Leader of the Year” and sat on the board of Passports with Purpose, helping execute the annual fundraiser for the travel bloggers community.

When she’s not hard at work for Paynor PR clients, Meg enjoys traveling the world with her husband and young daughters.
